Futures Workshops on Educational Trends Impacting Design:

We provide Future Trends Workshops on educational trends for elementary, middle, and high schools. Using nationally recognized projects designed by us or other companies, we can summarize an overview of trends, their technology impacts, and design requirements.

These Future Trends Workshops can be very beneficial to architectural teams trying to differentiate themselves from the local market. These workshops are also available to school districts.

Pre-Architectural Programming - Educational Specifications:

This product defines a comprehensive educational vision, outlines the educational program, defines functional relationships, qualifies building size, and helps manage budgetary requirements. Our educational specifications are built through a consensus model of staff involvement, community involvement, and business partnerships. Our products are well received by both educators and architects.

District Master Planning:

District master planning is a substantial portion of our service package. This includes existing conditions building analysis, educational program analysis, demographic analysis, facility needs determination, comprehensive cost estimating, and bond referendum marketing.

Facility Renovation Planning:

Approximately half of our projects are planning the renovation of existing schools. This requires a unique combination of future trends analysis with a realistic understanding of the existing building infrastructure. We have been very successful in planning flexible schools of the future within many thought-to-be restricting and outdated existing facilities.

Plan Review:

We provide plan review of educational specifications, and Phase I, II, and III design documents. These materials may be submitted to us by the architect or the school district. Review is conducted on an hourly basis with a report provided within three to five working days. Our analysis can be beneficial to identifying value engineering options for the facility, improving functionality, and determining flexibility requirements into the 21st century.

Specialty Facilities:

We provide planning for specialty facilities including corporate learning centers and uniquepartnership schools such as the lease/purchase design/build middle school for the Sydney School District near Halifax, Nova Scotia. These special projects require comprehensive definition of education program, technology use, curriculum methods summary, and economically defined facility requirements. Where necessary, we can provide contracted services for interior design and construction management.
